Nine people, including Memphis rappers Pooh Shiesty and Big30, have been arrested in a federal case accusing them of robbing and kidnapping rapper Gucci Mane and two others at gunpoint during a fake business meeting in Dallas, the DOJ said Thursday.
Prosecutors allege the group lured the victims to a music studio on Jan. 10, forced one man to sign contract paperwork under threat of a gun, and stole cash, jewelry and a Rolex before posting images of the loot on social media.
Authorities say evidence includes phone data, surveillance footage, license plate readers, jail records, social media posts and even a car rental tied to Pooh Shiesty’s father, who was also arrested after an FBI raid in Cordova.
