New Social Event Series Aims to Connect Singles Across DC, Maryland Region
WASHINGTON – A new event series is launching across the DMV area this fall, offering singles an alternative to dating apps with in-person, community-centered mixers.

The events, organized by The Link-Up Network and Steven Wick Matchmaking, will take place at three locations: Yours Cafe in Washington, D.C.; miXT Food Hall in Brentwood, Maryland; Mystique Barrel Brewing and Lager House in Baltimore and many more.
Each event is designed for young professionals ages 25 and older who are seeking meaningful connections. Organizers describe the evenings as an opportunity for attendees to meet locals who share similar interests and lifestyles, without the pressure or uncertainty of digital dating platforms.
The format includes 10 to 15 fast-paced, one-on-one conversations that allow participants to connect with multiple people throughout the night. The guest list is intentionally capped to create a comfortable atmosphere and reduce overcrowding.
Organizers say the events are intended for ambitious, emotionally mature individuals who are genuinely ready to meet someone in person. The mixers aim to foster community among Maryland and D.C. residents who may pass each other in their daily routines but rarely have the chance to connect.
Tickets are available through Eventbrite and are limited to maintain an intimate setting. Upcoming dates are listed on the event pages.
About the Events: The social mixers are hosted by The Link-Up Network and Steven Wick Matchmaking. The events are open to singles ages 25 and older and take place at venues in Washington, D.C., Brentwood, Maryland, and Baltimore. More information and tickets are available through Eventbrite:
